The Plainedge High School Chamber Orchestra performed at Reckson Plaza on Friday, December 16th.  Students, family, and friends enjoyed holiday music, refreshments, and the beautiful decorations.

The Music Parents Club will meet at 7:30pm on the following Wednesdays in Room 112:

February 15, March 14, April 25, May 23 (please note: the May 23rd meeting will be held in Room 244)

On April 28, 2012, there will be a Spring Breakfast Fundraiser held in the cafeteria (Session I 9:00 am-10:30 am; Session II 11:00 am-12:30 am)

Congratulations to the "Setting Suns" who won the annual Candy Cane Volleyball Tournament at Plainedge High School.  Over 240 students participated in the event sponsored by the Physical Education Department and the Key Club.  The event raised $400 for the Long Island Homeless Coalition's annual Candlelight Vigil to be held at Farmingdale State College.

 

 

The American Cancer Society Smoke-Out It is an opportunity for our school community, students and faculty, to become Tobacco free. 6,000 children and teenagers try a tobacco product every day and half of those kids will become regular smokers. The goal is to reduce these number by education the public. We encourage all of the school community to stop by the SADD table that will be set up near the lobby to support us in becoming tobacco free.


The event was on Saturday October 9th at John H West elementary school.
