Sandy Forces Changes in School Calendar
NOV 21, 2012 –
Message from Your Superintendent:
The past few weeks have been most challenging to our school community as well as our neighbors in the surrounding areas. And while I realize that this change in our calendar will be an inconvenience to many of us, given the loss of six instructional days, we felt that this plan was the best of all possible options.
As a result of the six days of school lost to Hurricane Sandy, at the November 20th Board of Education Meeting, the Board adopted the following changes to the remainder of the 2012-13 school calendar:
- Tuesday, February 19 through Friday, February 22 will be regular days of instruction.
- Friday, May 24 and Tuesday, May 28, originally designated as snow make-up days, will be regular days of instruction.
